so you have just compounded the fact with this report that the ray fishing in the shannon isnt anything special. now if you had a dozen ray i'd take notice but one thornie wouldnt constitute a good session.. how many times have you had doubles and trebles of thornies in the shannon..happens in galway and other marks mentioned..
shore species 2008(25):dogfish(3.1lbs), bull huss (12lb 2oz), bass, shore rockling, coalie, whiting, pollack, conger (22.4lbs),flounder, thick lipped mullet (4.8lbs),turbot,ling (11.2lbs),ballan wrasse(4.5lbs), cuckoo wrasse, pouting, poor cod, cod (9.5lbs), dab, 3 bearded rockling, long spined scorpion fish, corkwing wrasse, plaice, trigger fish, sea trout, garfish

Getting 7lb ray is always good in my eyes. It would be unusual to get a double or treble shot of ray in the estuary if that's what you mean but not unusual to get 3 or 4 ray in session. My post probably sparked this so maybe you should pull me up on this not Gearoid if you have a problem. It's just meant to be banter and I have explained that at the end of my post along with Galway having more ray but Estuary a better capability of big fish.

Same with me... Can you PM me the mark please. Me and my young lad would want to have a dog on our list this year.

Thanks in advance.
