Report:Tom and Mati were my companions for the day. we couldn't decide where to go. commercial lake stocked with rainbows or Avoca. we picked Avoca. to be honest I didn't expect much. we've found small shoal of mullets close to Arklow harbour. the bread on the float went into the water...we had only only succesfull bite
after the long fight, the fish ended up in 5 years old anglers hand! The fish was about 4-5lb. given the mullet's slow growth, this particular fish on the pic below is at last double Mati's age. we were to messy with taking photos, and relasing the fish, that's why we had to move to different location to continue fishing. in the new spot we had many bites, but we managed to catch only one small fish. again 5 years old had no difficulties with that (with my little help). as usual we put the fish back to the water, which was as much intresting for mati as catching. Happiness in Mati's eyes- priceless I also had surprise 2day. brownie and bass schoolie went on bread
after this session , I think I'm going to change my mind about difficulties with catching mullets. Tom was a photographer this time

. Brilliant photos and lovely mullet too. The photo of the young lad releasing the mullet is brilliant. It should be on the cover of one of the angling magazines.
