West Waterford 16/19/6/10

#1 Post by cortaz »

People:2,1,2

Duration:3 sessions = 8 hrs. in total, :)

Tide:1 sess. over hw. @ 21.30, 2 on the ebb down to lw. @ 17.00ish

Weather:summery  , ie. not great :) cold nw. wind today :?

Bait: :D .tides minnow, feed shallow, chugbugs lots of different rubbery stuff, xslayers, motherworms, sluggos, shads, and some h.m.s.

Rigs:

Results:40ish bass, up to 6lb.
Report: went to a handy reef openin eve, 5 mins. from the door, got a 3lber whitin 5 mins on f.s extra sardine colour. then nothing for the next hour, still twas nice to be out :) seen 20odd sea trout leaping, theres good numbers also running the local rivers again.
Next day going across the channel in the boat the other fella spilt my tea, :x :x :x "dispute" , few broken rods later turn boat around and go home    , yesterday go out in boat by myself :) got about 10 on rubber in the deeper spots, beached punt for lw. and fished around the tressels and deeper channels, twas very bright and clear got about 10 more and seen lots more,.
Today fished around same marks, we managed about 15 between us, the "otherfella" got the best fish of 6lbish on a chugbug, that fish took and came 3/4 ft. clear of the water before sean had time to close the reel, you cud see the venom in the strike, that predatory thing when they go in for the kill, awasome 8)
