Penn Surfmaster 200 multiplier reel

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Penn Surfmaster 200 multiplier reel

#1 Post by red »

a guy in work has picked up one of these reels and asked me to try and find out a bit of info on them. a google search hasnt shown up much apart from them being a pretty old reel.
does anybody know anything about them or have any idea if its worth anything?? he said it has a few scratches on it but nothing major,
cheers.

red hello. The Surfmaster is a good small Penn reel best suited to inshore boat fishing rather than what it's title suggests. It has no brakes fitted so wouldn't fare too well for casting.Still a strong wee reel and all parts still available form Penn servicing.Value would be £10-25 depending on condition. The low price being a well corroded one and the higher price being a mechanically A1 reel perhaps still with original box.Hope this is of some help.
