Penn Prion

Bought one a fortnight ago from Marsh Tackle (UK), the 7400RD. It's beautifully balanced, very light and well made. Tis but a baby compared to other 'Surf' FS's but holds more than enough braid or mono for plugging. Very smooth retrieve, again from the balance and has little or no wobble when winding in. The rear drag works a treat, doesn't need kickstarting to get it moving. Only fault I can pick with it is the bail arm. Has to be knocked with a bit of quick pressure. The first wind has to clunk it. A slow wind can leave it half open. Somebody is reviewing a different Penn FS in this month's Sea Angler and he complains of a similar problem with the model on test. Apart from that, lovely,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and cheap at the moment. I think Glasgow Angling centre are knocking them out for £25 plus P&P instead of the normal £90!!!
