Bait: rag fresh macks pouting fresh herring sand eel
Rigs:sabiki minis. hokais .mackeral feathers
Results:40 macks 3 gurnard. small pollock. dabs.herrings. small codling.and a plaque of doggies.pouting.whiting
Report:headed out to a mark myself and dave bouy fished on wendsday straight in to a few macks also the sabikis picking up small pollock whiting and pouting every drop. baited up one rod with fresh rag and macks arthur pulled in first of 2 tubs 2nd one around 2 lb mark in between dogs. the bait was not escaping the whiting only in the water and stripped. seabirds had a feast .every small fish thrown back in they were on it. one in 3 dident make it. no full strings of macks today [unlike weds] all caught in singles but a day to be out with a fishing rod in your hand woulent have cared if there was no fish caught. but catch fish we did although most of them were small but the dogs kept us all busy great day out

nice fishing twinkle things are starting to move
try dropping the fish right beside the boat when returning them less chance of a gull coming near them untill they get their breath back

john i even tried leaving them for a few minutes in the bait well to recover. the gulls were nearly sitting on the rails knew they were on to a good thing.the minute they hit the water they dived there was a smaller gull stayed along the side of the boat. as soon as he had anything in his beak he was getting clattered by about 20 others.suprised he stayed around
