People: Ghost & Me

Date : As above

Venue: Kept to ourselves this time round

Duration: 8.30pm - 12.00am

Tide: High water 10pm

Weather: Light north westerly breeze, clam sea, great weather

Bait: Mack, lug and rag

Rigs: flappers, pulleys

Results: 3 dogfish, 1 red cod, 3 pollack, 1 3 beard rockling & 1 codling

Report: Ghost and myself decided on a session and although it was put off 4 times we eventually made our way up the road.
We tried getting mack all day, everywhere out, and i was told there was mack in sainsburys after phoning and being told there was none. So after i dug lug and rag and collected the last 3 mack we wer off around 7.45. Got to the mark about 8.20pm with a light breeze, nice and calm and hopes where high.

All baited up, both of us had some knocks and ghost was first off the mark with a doggy, great wee doggy it was.
I was next with a new species and that of a pollack, enough eating in her but I Let her go to fight another day.
We thought happy days fish on our fisrt casts. Ghost was up next with another doggie lol and i had another decent pollack which i put back aswell.

Doggie for me next, you just cant get rid of them like, but hey they save plenty of blankers.
Another new species for me with a 3 beard rockling, which was a nice size indeed. Ghost had no more fish for the last hour, unfortunately he had a bad over run on the other reel and had to cut loose which he hand pulled back in with a nice red cod on the end.
I pulled in two more fish with a nice wee codling and another decent sized pollack to round off the night. Well cuffed with the session. Both of us catching and a fish a cast really. We both lost fish on our last casts as we reeled back in, there was some weight on my line which nose dived but i lost it as it drew closer, ghost thinks it was another dog for him which dropped off just before landing also.

All in all a brilliant nights fishing with plenty of species to keep us entertained and 2 new species for me made it even better.
Cheers to ghost for taking me out also.

I have pics, although i cant find my damn usb cable, i think the bro has done a runner with it, will try and get them up tomorrow.

Thanks Aaron, yeah I won it for my PB bass I caught over Christmas when I was down in Co.Kerry.
I can't beleive it, it was nice to be even nominated never mind winning it!!
I don't known what I have won yet, Phil has to get back to me about my prize.
