Report:the two German lads working with me wanted to have one last fishing session before they head home on Friday so i brought them out,I went to 2 spots first but the wind was too strong to fish them
I decided to head for deep water and we hit off for killary fjord as i never fished it before
I got a small pollack on the second cast then followed soon after by a double of small pollack
awhile after that alex got his first ever fish and was delighted
the second pollack alex got spat out a rag worm when he was unhooking itI will have to do a bit of digging around the spot to see what's around there as rag are hard to find on the west coast
clause got the smallest fish of the night but was also happy with his first fish
i forgot how nice it is up around killary fjord will have to try fishing up around there again soon

Re: killary fjord 25th may 2010
I heard it was a tackle graveyard before but I went home with more gear then I started with when one of the lads got stuck I tried to pull for a break it came free with a length of shock leader with a 2 hook flapper and grip lead and a set of mackerel feathers and a 3oz lead attached to his set of featherspeterw wrote:i fished a few marks there on Sunday , truly a tackle graveyardcorbyeire wrote:

going to fish it again even if it is a tackle graveyard,it a lovely area and not too many spots around ireland where you can cast in to over 130 feet of water from the shore

Re: killary fjord 25th may 2010
im not knocking the location at all - as with most fishing you just need to be prepared for it and in this case with a lot of rigs - then your laughing
