the pollack were in awkward mood, somtimes we drifted for 20 minutes
using all the techniques well known to work on 8 rods without a bite,
then they would come of the feed again and all the rods hooped over.
some nice haddock 3-4lbs are about as well

This was myself and Bassmanias first real boat fishing trip and what a day we had, when we arrived at the pier we met Brian and John and had a quick chat about the day ahead. As we set off you could not ask for better weather, the crack on the boat was great. After this trip i found muscles where i never knew i had muscles with hauling some of the fish up, definately will be trying this again, big thank you to Brian Duggan and J W off the site for the help and advice.

Regards

Seamus

nice report and good fishing lads, I'm fully with you there Seamus in relation to unknown muscles painfully appearing, not sure if the term 'wreck fishing' relates to the location or the crew sometimes  John, your cutting board looks slightly unhygienic at this stage  , I know, the memories, the memories...

Following on from Seamus' comments it was a great days fishing. If you were gauranteed yesterdays weather more often, I'd give this boat fishing a chance.

It's great to meet some people from the forum and thanks to John, Brian and the others for their help. Boat fishing is a different tecnique but an experience to be tried.

The Clare Dragoon and the owner (Luke) have the set up for these trips and for any newbies considering it, Seamus and I will go out again this summer and would have no problem going out on Luke's boat.

Will be Barbe'n some of the fish we caught later on, reaping the rewards for all the aches and pains I have from bringing all those fish to the surface
