Hello all...

well first off Im new here :)

and kinda new to sea fishing! Was wondering if anybody could tell me do i need permits and rod licence to shore fish in Northern Ireland and the South?.

Like Ive said kinda new so might be a stupid question.

Oh.....also forgot to mention, I already know I need a license for salmon and sea trout, however obviously these would not be what I am fishing for! :mrgreen:

Its just ive never had it fully explained to me and there is somewhat a blurry line in my eyes :?

simple answer is no,you dont need a licence to fish in the sea.but if you where lucky enough to catch a sea trout or salmon you must release it.or buy a licenece which allows you to fish for those species.

Thanks alot for the answer........and also would that be a game license to keep salmon and sea trout?
