plaice mark

People:me

Duration:1800 to 2300

Tide:low around 2000

Weather:overcast then wet

Bait:rag

Rigs:2 up 1 down size 1 with beads

Results: 2 flounder 4 bass




Report:tryed a spot i was told i might get a plaice, got two flounder/ bass doubles then another two schoolies straight after, deciced to go after that, might try it again earlier in the day the next time, only took two photos with the phone as after the first one i didn't take the others out of the water.

yea cheers lads, no sign of a plaice but id say it might of been too rough, i'll try it again when i get back from the holidays

im not to sure but i taught plaice can only be caught during the day

i think your right but i never fished at the spot before and i planed on fishing earlier but it took me ages to find the right place and then had to walk for about two miles so it was late when i got there but ill be going in the morning the next time

sorry to tell you keith but plaice can be caught at night time too :| they are easier to catch during the day as they use their eyeballs alot to hunt but i,ve had plenty at night over in morcombe bay they come in on day and night tides ,shame they arnt on greystones like they used to be ,we used to catch as many plaice as we did flounder oh the memories :roll:

based in navan, im usually fishing louth/ meath or north dublin the odd time

well you might actually be right about that rory,i dont like to walk too far on these old legs :lol
unfortunatly there was'nt much time for fishing but managed to squeeze in a couple of hours spinning which resulted in 2mack,1seatrout and 1pollock, made a nice change in catching mostly nothing.
