tide: goin out coming in before we left
bait: ragworm and sandeel
time: 6.30pm-10.00pm
result: 1 fairly fat codling
Went out monday evening on a truly spur of the moment quick session.I was sitting in bored silly when i mentioned to my brother that i wouldn mind wetting a line since i havent been out in a few weeks and that was it he said he had some spare change from the weekend so we flew down got fourty ragworm and a pack of sandeels.Headed to bray pier and but the wind was really strong an the tide was quickly heading out so fishing was very slow. After an hour or so the weather cleared up and the wind died down but still not so much as a bite. With nothing much happening i decided to set up a big ragworm bait on size 3/0's and blast it as far as i could and within a couple of min i had a few rattles on that rod, i left it alone and concentated on baiting up my other rod.As i picked up the rod that was out to reel it in i felt a bit of weight and to my delight a nice fat codling broke the surface
