What size swivel would you use for attaching snood line to main trace line? I usually just use a home made single or two hook clip down type of rig The ones I'm using are diamond eyed and roughly 3/4 of a centimetre in length and locked in position with a couple of crimps and small beads.Haven't got a clue what the actual swivel ''size'' is?I was just wondering what size ye might use for general all round fishing from the shore -ie not targeting tiddlers in the suds or expecting to catch a monster of a conger/tope either. Do you think the swivel size makes much difference in terms of the overall appearance of the rig in the water or to the action of the snood line?
Thanks

I may be cut to death for saying this .But if your looking for conger keep it as big as you can get .But small is better for shore fishing ..iv never had a problem with very small swivel s ,if there on the feed you can have hand cuffs as swivels and they will take it .thats if it bass your fishing for ?I think you can look too much into it

Hey John I normally use a 4 to attach the snood to the main line and a 6 on my snoods. Sakuma do bulk packs I think it's 100 for a tenner but are hard to get at the moment. Also look out for the new Tronix range as they have good deals on the bigger packs of gear. I know Viking are starting to do a fair bit of this range.
