fly fishing for bass

Hi am new to fly fishing in the sea we will be going to bantry bay area and will be fishing for bass ,pollack .
I have a ten foot wt 7/8 fly rod and a sinking line will this be okay for this. Any help would be greatfully recieved

yep rod will be fine. just remember to wash it and your reel/line afterwords..
google up some info on uk/Irish saltwater fly fishing there's a lot of info out there :wink:

you did not say when you are travelling but remember that bass fishing is banned from now till the 16th June.
Can put you on to some good marks for fly fishing.

Hi Paul sorry for delay Thanks for reply , we are on ferry on 19Th June my friend has already e mailed you for frozen sand eel so will be calling in for it on way,advice would be much appreciated.

As a keen fly fisherman for Trout, Bass on a fly sounds challenging. Good luck.
