Rig component storage box !

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Rig component storage box !

#1 Post by stevo74 »

hello all,
I am looking to buy a decent size tackle/rog box that I can use to store my sea rig making equipment at home. It would need at least 15 diff compartments. I have seen the Flambeau
Tuff tainer 8001 & 5004 on ebay-They are about the size box I am looking for but am worried cos, as they have movable dividers, that small hooks, swivels, crimps will start sliding under the dividers and everything will become mixed up.

Can anyone recommend a good box that I could buy????

appreciate any info

Hey there,
I got a great box in the local hardware store that has 30 small little removable drawers.
It perfect for holding all the rig making bits and bobs such as beads, swivels, etc etc

I used a sharpe pen to write what each drawer has in it on the front of each drawer and mounted it on the wall beside the workbench.
Its excellent and very neat!!
Whole set up cost me twenty quid!!!
Hope this is of some help!

Ill try get a pic up here later this eve ormtommorrow so you can see the set up.......

Check Lidl, a while ago I bought a small tool box that had a flip down front which contained 4 multi compartment boxes. Perfect for rig bits and plenty of them.
The top part you can put your scissors and crimping tools etc in and some line....

Buy yourself a Shakespear Beta Box......cant go wrong.

You can then go to lidl/diy/tackle shop and buy yourself seperate plastic storage boxes/containers for all your terminal tackle and bits and bobs. Or another handy one is if you have a takeaway chinese...use the plastic containers that your food comes in to store hooks/beads/swivels etc.

I use a rig wallet but also rig winders that you can wrap your rigs around..very handy. With the beta box you can also use it as a seat.

Jesus youd think Im a Beta Box salesman after all the gumph thats come out my mouth!

Best of luck.

Lee.
