howdy mate loads of flatties and seatrout at the moment.and biggest bass caught here in sligo was on strandhill.barton smith and house of value are the tackle shops with in the town center.loads of frozen bait but you need to dig your own live worm.shout me a pm im gladly to join you fishing,hope this help

It's a tough spot to fish mate. Walkers, surfers, dogs, kids and a b*tch of an under tow. If you are going to fish it head to the right of the cannon. It's a bit quieter that way. As Zeke said flats and trout mostly. You might be better heading towards Streedagh or somewhere out that direction. If your stuck for a spot to get bait give me a shout I'll put ya right.

Thanks lads, the bad news is I just rang to chat to the guy about the rental house and he told me the house we booked in Bundoran not Strandhill 20km away. So if I'm going at all I might be in Bundoran! Think Ill stock up worm bait before I go. Im guessing the length of the coast up there might be full of surfers this weekend.

If your staying in Bundoran best bet would be to fish Rossnowlagh beach, late evening in to night with Lug & Mac, throws up some good Flounder,Turbot & the odd big Bass!
