im looking for a good lantern for cheap ha ha

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

when fishing on the beach, more important than bait are two things
1, a seat cause a cold wet arse is no good
2, jax roll cause you dont want to get caught out!!!! and using your socks is rough!!

cheapest lantern I could find....not so many parts so not much to go wrong....not sure they'd be ideal in winter rain etc but they would be cheap.....

be real cheap and only fish during the day  . Seriously though a good headlight is all you need, a good one like the led lenser can be got for €40 or so.

I have a Coleman Northstar but only really use it in wintertime now,,there again I have Fishface shining the Petzl Ultra in my direction all the time  .It is good for winter fishing as you'll get a comforting heat off it as well as the bright light. I hang mine (the lamp, that is  ) about 4' off the ground on a stand and it throws the light further.Pain in the a%s" fiddling around with petrol though :x and as Bigsod already said the headlamps such as the lenser do throw out a lot of light .
