Wicklow, Arklow, 23rd April 2010

#1 Post by John D »

People:Me, my dad and my brother Greg.

Duration:13:15 until 17:00.

Tide:Hight tide at approximately 18:00.

Weather:Mild, dry, sunny spells, moderate seas and fair to bad water clarity.

Bait:Ragworm.

Rigs:Pennell pulley, 1 hook clipped paternoster and an on the spot constructed rig that was made up and very simple.

Results:Nothing.

Report:I headed out to Arklow off a spur of the moment decision. It wasn't a spur of the moment decision to go fishing however. The spur of the moment decision was where we decided to fish. Personally I wanted to head down more southerly in direction but my dad wasn't in the humour of a drive that was any longer than 40 minutes or so. Anyway after blanking 4 out of my last 4 outings I cast my baits with the hope of anything taking it but deep down I was harbouring thoughts of a bass. Nothing but crabs though. I really don't know what's up with my fishing lately. Perhaps I'm just going through an unlucky phase. Maybe I need to fish darkness - that's something I haven't done in a while. I'll keep trying :)

Thanks KERRY1. Yeah I do tend to look at blank sessions in the same manner as yourself Red.

Tight lines,
