Fish ID please

#1 Post by fred funk }{ »

Strangefruit and myself were out yesterday in the boat. Not much fish around Bray and Dalkey but Strangefruit pulled this boy from the deep :D

Anyone know what it is? We were think it looked like an Anglerfish.

i think it could be a bull rout. if it has numerous small spines in the skin, either side of the lateral line.
this on lives down to 60 meters and can grow big, while the sea sorpion lives in shallower water
