greystones, 22 april 2010

People:myself 2 others

Duration: 6 - 10.30

Tide: high about 7

Weather: lovely and calm

Bait: rag, lug, mack and sandeel

Rigs: 3 hook flappers, pulleys

Results: coalies, codling, whiting, pouting, flounder, plaice, scorpion fish

Report: lovely evening for it - expected there to be more anglers at the rocks but had the place to ourselves for the night

loads of young kids out in kayaks - their minder roaring at them to stay away from the fishermen

as soon as they headed off - the minder in a rib kicks it into top speed and goes over the lines - thanks

anyways it was mostly coalies and codling - but nice to see other species

i had a run in with the kids minders last year i also gave the gobshite in the inflatable a piece of my mind about refueling with the thing running also no funnell petrol spilling all over the place and kids onboard  hes a wa??er  i had actually said i would report him to the DOM never did as i had a lot of other stuff going on in my life at the time.
as far as i know it is greystones sea scouts anyone letting there kids go with them needs there head examined

there was 3 or 4 ribs flying round the place with minders - the funny thing was your man made so much effort for the young ones to stay clear in their kayaks - and as soon as they moved out successfully - he just completely forgot and blasted across in front of us only 30yards out!

well done, that looked like a decent enough session. Out of inerest did you get many plaice? I have never caught one but was told that was a mark that was likely to throw one or two up from time to time.

Any tips appreciated
