went out for a few hours in the afternoon yesterday. mackeral very scarce. half a dozen pollock and two codling.

Hopefully that was the dinner sorted anyway...
They look table size, hard to tell scale from the pic. And were you up in the Mine Head direction by any chance?
As to the macks: be careful what you wish for, you might get nothing else....

the big one is about 4 - 4.5 pounds. im down in the opposite side of the country in youghal. on sunday we had plenty of mackeral....we just wanted a few for bait.
