went out for a few hours in the afternoon yesterday. mackeral very scarce. half a dozen pollock and two codling.

Hopefully that was the dinner sorted anyway... :D They look table size, hard to tell scale from the pic. And were you up in the Mine Head direction by any chance?

As to the macks: be careful what you wish for, you might get nothing else.... 8)

the big one is about 4 - 4.5 pounds. im down in the opposite side of the country in youghal. on sunday we had plenty of mackeral....we just wanted a few for bait.
