Vessel:off da hook

Crew:myself ,brian

Duration:7 am till 5.30

Tide:hight to low and back up

Weather:good slight breeze

Bait:rag .lug,crab mac squid

Rigs:everything

Results: well 13 species for the day herring,mac ,whiting,pollock,ballen and cuckoo wrasse,codling ,ling, grey gurnard,launce blonde ray ,lsd,conger
we started out from my house a 4.15 in cork for 7 am tryed a few thing resulted in catching 26 macs in a short space of time along with whiting and launce moved and had codling to 4 lb along with 2 lsds moved out seen a boat anchored up steamed over as i was sure i knew the boat sure enough it was dave in ohana had a quick chat and back to fishing drifted had a few grey gurnards drift was a bit fast 2,5 knots at times we moved again picked up a few pollock and ling on fresh mac bait dave dropped by on his way in said our good byes then he took off like a bat out off hell the 150 honda on the back of his warrior is savage any way we decided a move was in order lots of boats over around smiths so we went to a spot were i wanted to try anchored up dubby out we had ballen and cuckoo wrasse in no time nothing major but welcome i dropped a mac flapper and had strap conger then brian landed one feww more ballens moved back in drifted and had 3 herring first drop brian added 2 mac and a launce finalmmove we anchored up again we had 4 blonde rays to 12 lbs tooka few pics let them go this stage the tide was ripping in uped anchor drifted again few more codling on lug and mac strips finished up around 5.15 did not want to get stuck in traffic to much good days fishing few new things worked again some did not good craic with brian we ate all around us on the boat time flew by few pics now

nice fishing there mate well done were mackeral caught in harbour

species 2013(36)flounder, shore rockling, dog, coalie,cod, whiting, dab, poor cod, pollack, grey gurnard, red gurnard, pouting, haddock, thornback ray, grey mullet,ballen wrasse, cuckoo wrasse, scorpion fish, bass,blonde ray, plaice, herring, conger, golden grey mullet, red band fish, turbot, ling, garfish, scad, gold shinny, tom pot blenny, smooth hound, bullhuss, cork wing, dragonet, lesser weaver, painted ray.

specimen 2013 16 golden grey mullet, 1 scad, 1 red gurnard.

species 2012(39) whiting, coalie, flounder,dogfish, poor cod, cod, bass, shore rockling, ling,cuckoo wrasse, ballen, grey gurnard, red gurnard, three bearded rockling, mackeral, plaice, dab, pollack, grey mullet,haddock.conger,gold shinny,cork wing, blonde ray, lesser weaver, megrim, dragonet, thornback , tub gurnard, blue shark, scad, bull huss, tompot blenny, sea scorpion, goby, painted , garfish, pouting,

veerry nice fishing willy your fairly clocking up the species now along with the miles great day to be out well done

Terrific ray :D Caught it on the Gorilla?

I'm amazed at the detail of your reports - if I got up at 4am I wouldnt be able to remember my name at the end of the day.... :?

hi hugo caught it on the gorilla rod lovely rod had 10 oz of lead as well i used motof the day with multi reel as for early start i sleep 2 hours a night all year around it dont bother me i just like being up and out early :lol: :lol:
