finally,north mayo session.

#1 Post by doggie3131 »

we finally got out after a weekend to forget, myself, jason, and james went to a north mayo beach for an overdue session,we had arranged to meet poloris and saving private brian, sadly brian missed his lift and when we got there poloris was already set up on the far end of the beach, well we set up with flatties in mind,so a mixture of fish baits and lug were sent out, soon i was into a fish, but i went on the saltydog flounder walk,to see can i get the double, and when i got back the walk had worked,a double of flounder, :D :D james had got one a while before, the day was looking up :D BUT....that was it for a few hours until jason finally got a flounder, just as he was talking of moving to another spot :D of course we stayed on, then and the seatrout started lepping about in front of us,so there was a LOT of concentration on the rods, changes of rigs, bait selection, but nothing worked, they were just teasing. i finally got another flounder, and jason picked up a turbot,a fish thats avoiding me at present :( james blanked im afraid, but its his first session since last october so he was a bit rusty, and his casting had suffered, there were a couple of near misses with flying leads :D all in all a good day to be out!

8) nice one Noel, surely it is Turbot for you next or maybe even Bass? You deserve it now at this stage and after all the mischief with boats&blanks lately :!:
