Night fishing around galway.

Duration:9pm to 1am

Tide: incoming

Weather:calm no rain

Bait: sand eel,lug worm,squid.

Rigs: 3 hook flapper, 2 hook flapper long snood.

Results:myself,1xcodling 1xpouting. mick 1x 3 bearded rockling.


Went fishing around galway last night .It was either a night out on the razz or fishing. fishing gives no hangovers. Got to the mark with the tide just on the way in.first cast, mick got a rockling, looked like a great start to the night. the wind got up so it was getting harder to tell the bites.It went very quite and the pub was talked about again. just as we rebaited both rods took off bouncing on the rod rests. A nice cod ling for me at 45 cm. first codling and a new species for me . went quite again only a few small bites now and again.Then a small pouting for me on lug at 21cm. so over all not a bad night out and ill be back for more soon.

I thinks that says it all Dan at least we saved the dreaded "BlanK". The other thing is I wish people would bring their rubbish with them or put it in a Bin.
