Report:john arrived at the house,"get your rods were going fishing"says he,"sound"says i,and of we went, john has relations home and three women in one house were begining to get to him, "where we going"says i as we sped up the road "our favourite galway pier" says he.so by 7pm we were there, had a chat with kevin and lucky as we set up in lovely sunshine, not much going to happen till dark i thought,so we chinwaged with the boys, after a while lucky went to collect some bait for the weekend and we settled down for the fish to come on,we waited, and waited, then john got a knock, but it broke him off in the rocks, one rig lost and he was not happy lucky came back and kindly gave us some lug,and he decided to wait for a while to see the huge numbers of fish we were going to catch,he left an hour later still waiting to see a fish in the meantime the otters decided to come out to play, three of them, not a good sign really, but lovely to watch, then john got another bite, but got snagged in the rocks and lost another rig! soon after i got a hit,and reeled in the sorriest codling ive ever seen, well chewed, with almost no tail, gave john back his hook which i removed from its mouth felt so sorry for the fish i fed him to bertie to put him out of his misery. and that was that.very bad night for that spot, but it got us out of the house so...

Tough fishing lads but at least ye got to see some wildlife ,have had some crap sessions lately myself even managed to get my car bogged took over an hour to get it out & getting no fish for the past five sessions but hopefully this speel of good weather will bring the Wrasse & big Pollock back to the rocks, will be giving them a shot in the next few days!
Cheers Brian

jeese noel i thought that was one of your "safe bet" marks. looks like some places are still waiting to switch on you'll put it all behind you with one good session on the open seas i'll have to keep an eye out in the boat angling reports section
hard luck guys, was tempted to go there myself the same evening, fortunately a friend called to invite me out for a trip in his new lakeboat, we christened it well with 2 lovely brownies, better than nothing I suppose
