Ultima F1 Line

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

I've used F1 for the last few months. I found it really good initially but it gets damaged quite quickly and can snap..which i discovered on a few sessions :( Have started using Sufix tritanium so I will see how I get on with that :)

I was using the black and found it as you described the titanium by using my description of the black. :|

a lot of people swear by it but not for me. suffix tritanium is one of the few things in life that makes me happy  . it casts well and takes a lot of punishment for its breaking strain. i'd recommend it.

Nasty, wirey, weak on the knots, tried two seperate spools of 18lb, wont try it again. Mono seems a very personal choice though.

suffix synergy, its nice and soft, sits well on the reel and bs to diameter is pretty good too.

This you will not have tried yet

At only £20 a 1/2 kilo you could do worse the .35mm dia has a b/s of 20.5lbs

Had heard enough good about it that have sprung for a reel of the 18lb from Veals earlier. Baitdigger's point about mono being a personal thing is a good one though...
