Hi Chris
I have the ABU 6500 CT Premium Mag Elite, Just quickly compared the specs and the only difference I can see is that the Pro is a couble of ounces heavier.
The Premium is a lovely reel to use with adjustable mag system using a slide button on the top of the reel.

Heu mick, my friend uses the premium and your right it is a very nice reel. I was trying to compare the mag pro with a few of my own abus but there isnt much of a differance? I think their just trying to sell the same reel in a differant colour at a differant price!

Hi Chris
Yea there is not much of a difference from what I can see as I compared the specs from the original CT Premium Mag Elite to the Pro specks.
It has the same retrieve, Mags, powerhandle, line capacity, bearings etc, but is 15,01oz vs 12.6 oz of the Premium.
Nice looking reel though...

Chris
see below from Veals:
ABU 6500 C3 CT Mag Pro
Upgraded and improved version of the all time classic green Mag Elite.
The magnetic braking system is along the same lines as the old reel but the centrifugal brakes have been replaced with an all new 6 pin system to give an even greater range of casting adjustment. This gives longer , smoother casting and greatly reduces the risk of birdsnests.
Most of the changes have taken place on the right hand drive side with gear strength increased by 7 times.
Price: £109.99 (Including VAT at 17.5%)

Chris
something else also worth considering is if you join Veals membership and when you have ordered over £100 of gear the you get a discount on all items ordered after that.

Below is what a member would get the reel for:
Price: £88.93 (£104.49 Including VAT)

Basically helps towards the Shipping costs.....

The Same Reel on SpottyDog Tackle is £119.00.

Good luck with it....
