co. wickla strand 30-3-10

People:me ,then bigsod and his dog ,then a visit from :shock: night owl the pebble detective :lol:

Duration:8.30 till 12.30

Tide:full at 12 ish

Weather:dank

Bait:octopuss,lug and razor

Rigs:three hooked flaps

Results:5 bass to 30 cm ,4 rockling ,two whiting,4 codling and 6 dogfish




Report:headed out into the wickla fog ,mist and rain for a few hours and got a visit from sod and his first born the weather was very wet and misty and we could see some poor sole futher up the way fishing his heart out :lol: who later turned out to be night owl ,pleased to meet ya :wink: ,fishing was slowish till the doggies turned up in the last half hour ,my god why do i never get double dogs in a comp :lol: still it was nice to see a few turn up after the winter rest :wink: wont be long now and we,ll be sick ove em :oops:

Nice going Roger another good haul, did you take all the photos in the same place, or are they different pebbles, maybe night owl will tell us.

Pebble detective or not, drive the coast looking for the Inca and you will find all the hot spots :D Roger how many fish for the octopus bait? or is that a top secret question :wink:

the octopus worked but not as good as the razor ,got one dog and one whiting on it :lol:and a very black chopping board :roll:

Terrible seeing the small bass just lying there for a photograph. I normally carry some cotton wool to wrap them in :roll:

Great fishing. I'm nearly happier to see the doggies showing up than the bass. I thought the poor little creatures were after dissapearing. I'd be more than happy getting a result like that after a few fairly unproductive months. :wink:
