Ballscadden 28/03/10

People: Me and my friend coilin

Duration: 3 30 to 9 00

Weather:Sunny flat calm

Bait:rag and mack

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results: Dab [10cm] flounder[27cm]




Report:

Headed to ballscadden today. Arrived at 3 30 and baits were in the water by 3 40. Second cast i had small dab and then nothing for the next few hours. Coilin tryd a bit of spinning but had nothing. Then when i packing up i noticed a small knock on rod. reeled in and had a nice flounder. It was a nice day and good to get out even tho we did not catch much.

Hiya canning i used to fish balscadden many years ago its great in summer for spinning for mackerel. The bottom there is very rocky and can be a tackle graveyard. Try float fishing using mackerel and crab for the wrasse and the odd eel.
Ya should a been here last week.

Nice to see a report from there :wink: ,,,,,at least lads are starting to catch some fish during daylight hours, well done :lol:

Nice one. Was out there yesterday and not a bite. Just a matter of interest do ya go out further then the lobster pots or in close to the rocks? PM me if ya wanna answer this. Cheers.
