waterford to youghal and back

#1 Post by plumster »

People:myself and the woman

Duration:sun-wed

Tide:all stages

Weather:all sorts

Bait:everything you can think of

Rigs:same

Results:codling

Report:
was supposed to go to kerry but a last minute decision over travel time we then opted on waterford, unfortunatly for the fishing end of things this was a terrible decision :x
only managed one small codling for about 14 hours of fishing .tried several marks between tramore and youghal including dunmore east and courtown on the way home.
seen some great looking bass marks where we did some spinning and will have to go back when the time is right the rest of the fishing was with bait in the evening.
never even came across another fisherman , still had a great time but will have to get to kerry next time
sorry about the crappy report but thats fishing :)

I could have done without reading that - I was nearly going to go to Kerry for the weekend - but thought that it might be better to leave it for another few weeks

Fished Clonea, on Sunday afternoon until dark for about 2.5hrs not a bite. A few guys turned up later ready for a long session but I don't know how they got on, but there was a decent surf running. Doesn't seem to be much happening as yet, although I noticed a net wash up on Ardmore strand lthe week before last, its hard to say how old it was but it did seem to have been in the water a long time. Lets hope as the days warm up, things improve.

Yep fished Saleens on Sunday, few lads spinning some with bait. Dont think any of them got anything. I was just happy to try out my christmas present. (new spinning rod :D ).
