Boko lad you could do a lot worse than go for a session with Don, if there are thornies around Fahan, he'll get them! It'll alway be another species for ya!

I agree, if I wasn't already doing something else that day I'd be going up to meet him for a session without a doubt.

no prob's Al' theres always another day, just concentrate on ridding yourself of that flu for its a bugger to shift.
i have another mark to take you an the wee man to this summer, best fished June/July/august i haven't fished it in a few years but the mate was back at it last year, and did very well, his best pollock from it was 6 1/2lb and best bass was 30 inches/76cm ( he had no scales with him, but i seen the pic' of it beside a tape) other species are turbot/ plaice.

Bass, you say? Wouldn't be a rocky, kelpy mark, ideal for plugging on an incommig tide, by any chance?

so i take it you know this mark  you have described it perfectly, except for the kelp, its mainly clean ground. good mark for pollock at low tide, then when the tide starts to fill, the bass make their appearance. that 30 inch one the mate got was got on a yellow flying c, he got another six from that mark in two days, all were got on a small yellow plug...
