Donaghadee 11/03/10

#1 Post by Drew »

People: Just Me

Duration: 6pm - 9pm

Tide: Push

Weather: Nice, Skiff of Drizzle

Bait: Mackeral Only

Rigs: 1 Hook Patt. 3 Hook Loop

Results: 4 Codling, 1 Poor Cod

Report: Oh Dear. Went to Donaghadee after the club had fished it last night when I was working, and it wasn't any good for me either. Fished Mackeral Chunks down the side for Rockling, Didn't manage one. Ended up with 3 Codling to 27cm on the Dangling gear, then nothing, on either rod for about an hour and a half.

Got a Positive rattle on the Affinity which was wound in with what I could presume was a poor cod? (Pouting like, no stripes, not all that deep bodied) It was about 12cm in Length and went straight back. And Finished off with a Codling from the Middle... It was only wee too.

I could blame the time of year.... or maybe the tiny tides.... or maybe the bad bait selection... I'll pick one and get back to you... lol.
