People:me and Neil

Duration:5pm-9-30pm

Tide:falling

Weather:lovely, but freezing later

Bait:lug, mack squid

Rigs:2 hook flappers

Results:codling, whiting, bass, 5 beard rockling, coalie

Report:Havent been out since last week when I went to Bray and ended up fishing with 2 Romanians who told me a hundred times that they werent Gypsies and tried to ply me with vodka and beer while telling me their life stories,,,,,,,,,,,now that would have been a report and a half but as I was going to the fishing show in Citywest I never bothered to write it   . Back to todays session, i met Fishface at 5pm and he was already set up and was boring the pants off some lads off the site, Mark and Al included, showing off his rod and reels, telling his fishing tales and unfunny jokes   . Only kidding , as if he'd brag about his big rod and reel collection   . You'll have to excuse me for slagging him but I've just arrived back from the beach where he outfished me again and i have to get the frustration out of me. He even caught a rare whiting after i had just said that there werent too many of them about. Neil 14 fish ,,,,,,,,,Dave 4 fish,,there i've said it   . On the positive side,i've beaten my previous record of 3 fish here, so it wasnt all bad  . The lads had some small fish when we arrived and we got off to a good start with Neil getting a codling and me getting a 5 beard rockling on my first cast. I got a coalie next, silvery fella who i thought was a bass for a moment.Neil was using lug on its own and i was using lug tipped with squid or mack. He was getting fish at distance all evening, including 3 doubles of codling. I ended up with 2 codling, a coalie and a 5 beard rockling, with Neil getting loads of codling and a school bass    ,,,,fair play to him , he deserved it   ,,,,,,,,i'm glad he got it   ,,,,,,its not as if he rubs it in or anything and asks you how many fish you have or who got the most fish    . It was a beautiful evening but it got verrrrrrrry coooold later on and we ended up using frozen lug   .In fact my rod bag was frozen solid when we were leaving. A good night and nice to get back out again,,might hit Bray Harbour for a change during the week   ,Eyes

Nice to see ya's last night lads. We had pretty much the same results apart from the schoolie. Plenty of codling, rockling and i managed two flounder too. Was better fishing than we had in courtown earlier that day.one coalie for about 2 hours fishing. We were supposed to head to connemara instead but me staying up til 5 drinking gave way to that
Nice to see ya's again lads..i'm still blinded by neils hat
