salthill 22/2/10

#1 Post by chrisfeeney30 »

People:myself kaylemf

Duration:3 hours

Tide:rising

Weather:NW wind, freezing

Bait:mack

Rigs:various

Results:blank :x

Report:Officially my 1st blank since middle of august last year :( Was only a matter of time i suppose. Tried everything, far out as i could, extreamly close and everywhere in between, Even went down to size 6's in close! Absolutly nothing there, conditions were against us, absolutly no surf or movement in the water, shallow, clear and street lights very close by and a NE wind. After reeling in my final cast i decided to walk up and down the beach slowly and carefully with a very dimmed headlamp to see if i could see anything around, not a thing, not even a crab!!  No wonder we wernt even getting bites. Roll on some strong southwesterly's and a nice surf with warmer water!!!
