Better aerodynamics - ports act as wind tunnels.
Are you going fishing with it or throwing it???
what happrens during torrential rain with a bad wind? do you have to empty your rod before every cast? Maybe just me being sceptical.

think each port/hole is sealed so the blank itself cant fill with water..
