coleman northstar failing to light.. any suggestions????
i have a coleman northstar which i only bought recently and after my last session it has ceased working for no apparent reason. It seems that there is no fuel getting to the mantles when i turn the fuel knob on and its failing to light even though there is loads of fuel and its been pumped sufficiently... any suggestions its doing my head in

I have a different Coleman but maybe the pump is the same. When you pump cover the small hole with your thumb. Pump about 30 times and when your done make sure you turn the top to the closed mark. It sounds like the pressure is not there so the fuel wont light. Hope this helps,

You can test your pump. Pump a few times, then open the fuel filling cap. If there is a Hiss and a push of air and maybe fuel then you are getting pressure into the fuel chamber.
The Generator might be clogged. You can buy replacements on Ebay.
This is a common enoggh fault if you leave fuel sitting in the latern for long perions of time. The Fuel "gums" and can clog the generator.
If you are going to be storing your lamp for more than 4 weeks, empty the fuel out and fill with fresh fuel for you next trip.
