advice on bait pumps

hi thinking of purchasing one, is it any better than the trusty fork?, just looking for some advice on the use of baitpumps around our shores, are nthey best suited to sandy, glarry, shell/shingle filled glar, dry shore or under a few inches of water, (incoming or outgoing tide), any features/makes best, or anything else I havent thought to ask :?:

My advice is don't buy one have one myself waste of time compared to a fork.... unless you've access to a beach full of black lug FWIW
