why is it the less i fish the more i spend on tackle

only fished once this year but still i have managed to rack up a £ 250 credit card bill already.
2011 (12) Turbot Flounder Coalie Doggy Rockling, Conger Ballan wrasse Corkwing wrasse, Pouting Mackeral Thorback Ray, Pollack

2010 (11) Flounder Whiting Coalfish Dogfish Ballan Wrasse Corkwing Wrasse Thornback Sea trout Pollack, Pouting
BASS in sligo 8lb


2009 dogfish,Dab,Rockling Pollack, Coalie, Flounder, Turbot, Thorn-back ray, Bull-huss, Mackerel,
BASS, Conger, Mullet, Pouting, Codling Ballan Wrasse

Targets for 09- Bass any size in the north west.( mission accomplished)

I have only got out twice this year and i have spent a small fortune at the moment and have been making up rigs, rigs and more rigs, about 2 years worth :D :D :D :D it's definately as Chris said an 'addiction' :shock: :shock: i think we should set up an Anglers Anonomous Group !!!!!!!!!

It's quite natural. You are substituting fishing with buying fishing tackle. Kind of behavior described in detail in many books about psychology :mrgreen: I'm sure it got it's special scientific name

entering the tackle shop gives you the same buzz as a child in a toy shop its called havetohave syndrome lol

happens to myself as well. Best thing that a certain tackle shop done was close at 5 so I dont have time to go there after work anymore.. Its actually saved me quite alot already.. thanks lads haha
