Portmarnock? any info on fishing it ?

Does any1 fish this beach regurlarly? what could i expect ? wat season is best? It looks fairly fishey and i caught a small bass there years ago but i never here of any reports or dont no any1 that fishes it....

Never fish it myself but I know that best time is low water up.heard few stories about but dont know any for sure...If you go at the search right up in the screen you more than likely to find few tips about.

Fished it once just out of interest last year on a rising tide got plenty of flounders and dabs

im after lookin back on catch reports there and there a fela says he has catches smoothies in summer :shock: i think ill give it a go in summer even for a few flounder or schoolies but if i caught smoothhound id eat me hat :lol:

This mark or marks can be hit and miss- estaury end throws up flatties and bass, I've had countless doggies, whiting,dab etc from High rock, and wrasse from the foot of it, though to no real size, and the Martello rocks can spit up smoothies and codling I've been told.
I've also had serious blanks here... but it is always worth a shot
2016: dogfish, pollack,

2015: whiting, coalfish, turbot, pollack, ballan wrasse, conger, thornback, short spined sea scorpion , common blenny ,

2014 : dogfish, garfish, launce, common blenny, cuckoo wrasse, flounder, pollack, thornback ray,

2013 species:(15) Whiting, Dogfish, Three Bearded Rockling, bull huss, poor cod,turbot, flounder,pollack, spotted ray, thornback ray, launce, corkwing wrasse, long spined sea scorpion, common blenny,mackerel,

2012 species: Thornback, bull huss, Dogfish, pollack, Mackerel, bass, flounder, turbot, conger,




Species 09:(23) Conger, Whiting, Bass, flounder, Dogfish, dab, corkwing wrasse, pollack, bull huss(8lb 10oz~PB) , thornback ray(8lb~PB), dragonet, ballan wrasse, Blenny, Mackeral,long spined sea scorpion,pouting, coalfish, launce, codling, poor cod, starry smoothhound, 5 bearded rockling, shore rockling..
