HEADLIGHT

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

HEADLIGHT

#1 Post by hottopic »

Can anyone recommend a good headlight that is not too costly and doesn't eat batterys?

Cheers!

i got mine from ebay and its fine, just make sure the seller has a good rating.

theres 2 options, the H7 and the H7r, the "r" has rechargable batteries in it and charges by plugging a cable into the back of the lamp. its only a couple of euro more but not sure if its worth it. the ordinary one is slightly brigher and if you've got a set of batteries and a charger then no need for it.

where are you??, i heard murrays in cork had them for about €50.

Again i have the h7 led lenser ,super head lamp no matter what, battery longevity will decrease if the headlamp is switched on continuously and set to the highest setting/brightest beam.To get the best value from your batteries switch off the headlamp when not in use or reduce the beam light to a lower setting.Hotopic you can purchase these in almost any camping or survival shop.Bought mine in 53 degrees north in blanchardstown around 40euros.Think the majority of sea anglers would agree the h7 for its price is the headlamp for the job

If you know anyone in the motor trade you can get them to get itthe lenser headlamp off their local Snap-on rep. I got mine for 36 euro and you could probably get it for less by paying cash to the rep.
