Ian Golds Super Match Extra
Anybody acquired one of these in the past few months? Anybody considered it but decided against it? I might be on the verge of buying one....

Re: Ian Golds Super Match Extra
have to say i was like you about the range, but i won an ian golds extractor, have to say i would have no probs buying another one now, i like it so much so that ive used it on my last 5 fishing trips, and comps.
seems excellent quality and amazing value for the money
have been considering getting another of the range but havnt made up my mind yet which one to get

Re: Ian Golds Super Match Extra
Thanks gents. Yes I was a bit suspicious on why the price had been dropped so much from the original announcement of them last autumn, but the one or two UK reviews seemed to think they were grand for the money, so i went ahead and ordered one. Seems there was a supply delay and they only arrived at the wholesalers this month which explains the scarce feedback.

Re: Ian Golds Super Match Extra
Got the super match extra a few months back, its a lovely rod and nicely finished too. I use it with a fixed spool loaded with braid and can hit reasonable distance with ease, which was the reason I got it. I reckon the extractor and the international match will be the most popular in the range but they are look like great rods, well finished and pretty good value.

Re: Ian Golds Super Match Extra
Actually got it over here off one of the lads on the site because I wanted to have a look at it before I bought one.
