Silva LX2 problem

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Silva LX2 problem

#1 Post by Tony Fella »

Out fishing tonight and my Silva lx2 packed up AGAIN this is my second light, but in all fairness the last time they put there hands up and said there was a fault with a batch of them ,i waited 2 months for them to re design the new ones etc

I was looking at there website and they must of took the LX range off the market ill wait and see what they say..

Also if they don't sort this out for me what head light do yous recommend?? something with a rechargeable battery pack

Lads why the Speleo as opposed to the Silva? From what i've heard and read the Silva were a highly regarded light. Anybody out there using the Tiga or have any opinions on its reliability? Need to pick up a new headlight myself before i end up crashing on my arse on rocks.

its battery size, its reliabilty, its light output and its price. the silva has had serious problmes with its cableing, i know of about ten lx models including my own which came to a halt lafter being in use for less then a few moths . my speleo nova is 6 years old and still lights up strong. i also have the new upgrade of the lx and after seeing tony's go i dont hold out much hope for it. the tiga is supposed to be good but its has a massive battery which is bound to the waist, the nova does not.

I have the tiga, great light but the battery weighs the same as a bag of spuds.

The Silva LX1 is a very good light if you can get one. They might even be on ebay for a decent price as the LX2 is now the light of choice
