is dunlaoighre any use foe anythin but tiddlers???
has anyone ever caught anything decent in dun laoighre besides tonnes of small fish? i haven ever really fished it except last yaer when i caught a few pollock spinning... is there ever any cod/bass anythin decent etc .. i mean its fairly deep water and there is features like rocks and rough ground?

Caught a few nice pollock, up to about 6lb from the back of the East pier in my teenage years
That was 12 years or so ago but id say its still worth a shot.If memory serves me right it was silver jensen spinners that were the best.I also remember getting some great plaice some as the saying goes "like dustbin lids" for a short period while they were doing some sort of work in Dublin bay from the back of the west pier.

ye ive caught pollock there myself tanks man im not drivin at the moment so im confined to were the dart will drop me ha i might give the pier a try in bad condition when its hard to fish greyston es or killiney...

Hi sea serpeant i fish in dun laoghaire fairly regularly, i have no interest in cathcing tiddlers either, some reasonably decent fish can be caught down there, i had codling, coalies, flounder, rockling all to a fairly decent size last year. Gimme a pm if your thinking of heading that way.

seen nice pollack, plaice and dogs caught inside the harbour during the summer but not sure bout this time of year. id say bucket loads of whiting.
