Results:went to keel beach in achill on the hunt for codling,got there and there was a storm blowing stright into our faces,we set up as there was a great surf,but that surf f****d things up, as we could not get the grippers to grip! also there was a huge ammount of weed!after a few hours with not a sign of a fish we switched to plan b,and went to a local pier to see could we up the species count,we cast out and it was a fish a cast after that, mostly coalies,but with the odd small pollock thrown in, and john got a three bearded rockling as well. He also got the biggest coalie,43cm,most of the others were between 26 and 32cm,gave up when the waves started coming over the wall,anyway it was time for coffee! so one new species for me.two for john and two for jason.anybody know a way to stop the bloody dog eating our bait??
