Lads, I'm looking to book a weeks holiday in Glandore.
I'm flexible over when to go, but sometime between april and sept is most likely.
When will produce the best fishing down there?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Re: West Cork
I cant give you any advice on fishing around Glandore - but I would guess that September would be the optimum time, water at its warmest, summer species still around.
Are you planning on shore fishing or boat fishing? With boat fishing I would say that the best chance of calm conditions would be in September if the summer is anything like the last three years.
However, if its shore fishing and you are intent on heading to West Cork I would suggest the Beara Peninsula instead. Plenty of big wrasse and pollock in numerous rocky inlets along the coast, fishing for ray and huss in Bantry Bay etc.
