Cod hooks

#1 Post by trout hunter jnr »

Jus wonderin wheather or not it makes a difference with cod hooks on there size obviously im out for the big ones and its not because im not 'professional' Anyone can fish when they have the right tide bait place after that its up to the fish  Anywey back to my point if a place is producing good sized cod should our hooks be bigger or just our bait piled on in a big ball of lug and mack on the hook :?: :?: :?:
Fisherman's prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish, For another rainy day.
But when my final cast is made, I then most humbly pray.
When nestled in your landing net, As I lay peacefully asleep.
You'll smile at me and judge, That I'm "good enough to keep"!

match the size of the hook to the size of the bait ur going to be using if u use a small hook with a big juicy bait u will just end up masking the hook and u will miss the fish of a life time

i would not go below 4/0 for cod, even a small one will take a 4/0 no problems, their mouths are huge! :D
