Waterford 12th of December

#1 Post by trout hunter jnr »

People:Me the elder Craig and Nathan

Duration:12 O'Clock 'til half 5

Tide:Full at around the hour of 2

Weather:Calm but cold

Bait:Lug, crab and mack

Rigs:Various

Results:7 whiting 1 codling 5 flounder

Report:Got ready for meeting with the O'Connors of Carnew and headed off for the land of the Deise. Baited up the rods and after 2 casts I had a codling and a whiting to the board but not1 mark of chalk up for the other 3 bozos   continued with very very little success  Moved to a nearby mark in hope of bigger ones but didn't get them instead got a fairly good sized flounder reeled in by Craig and later on followed by a smaller 1 by Nathen me and the elder lost out on big fish because we had luminous beads not natural beads if you know what I mean ( thank god we had an excuse   )

Hopefully we'll have a better result next week. Don't wori fishies we'll be back
Fisherman's prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish, For another rainy day.
But when my final cast is made, I then most humbly pray.
When nestled in your landing net, As I lay peacefully asleep.
You'll smile at me and judge, That I'm "good enough to keep"!

Nice haul lad well done for getting out again. It will be a few more weeks before I get down to that neck of the woods but I'm watching your reports with great interest!
