People:me

Duration:8.30 till 11.30

Tide:low and rising

Weather:
calm and ccccccold
Bait:frozen peeler and 6 day old lug

Rigs:5/0 pully and 3 hook flapper 1/0

Results:5 codling averaging 25 cm :cry: one rockling16 cm and one 40 cm coaly




Report:had enough of i,m a hasbeen so went for some peace and quite down greystones had some frozen peelers and some lug from last week so went on a cod hunt :lol: crab was coming in hammered every cast on the 5/0 so put on a flapper to see what was robbing my bait, little codling it would seem! last cast was 5 lug and my last crab wipped on a 5/0 nice and tight :| was doing my second countdown to 50 :) before i packed up and the rodtip took a few nice nods happy days ,after a nice little scrap out popped a fat coaly :roll: some cod hunt ? ah well beggers cant be choosers :mrgreen:

5/0's :shock: been searching for years to get my hands on some of them. I've find the 4/0's a bit small for the cod down this way :lol: :lol: :lol:

Outside all that the walk must have been nice 8)

Well done Roger,,,,,,,,,and theres me delighted with me 25cms codling :lol: :lol: :lol: while they can only draw a sad face from you :cry: :cry: :cry: . I've all that disappointment to come later if i ever catch a biggie :roll: :roll: Thats a nice coalie btw,they give a decent scrap,,he would have got :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: faces from me instead of a :roll:

i was doing my second countdown to 50 :) before i packed up and the rodtip took a few nice nods happy days
them countdowns are a headwrecker i done 4x 100 the other night and on the last 10 seconds i got a bite and stayed another hour :roll:

donal everyone knows things are bigger in cork :wink: fish ,floods and of course year heads :lol:
i suppose it was a decent coaly eyes but i was after a decent cod :lol:
john i put it back cos my freezer is full of cod and pollock not to mention1 bxxs and 80 frozen peeler :mrgreen:

nice coali alright pity about cod i find 8/0 :shock: pennels the best for rooting the bigger cod from the shoals of pickers around at the moment :lol:

4 x100 :shock: did you go to college like eric? :shock: know what you mean i only do it when i,m fishing on my own,sing to myself too,and comment on how good a cup of tea is on a chilly night :) ,in hindsight i,m probably going senile :mrgreen:
