hi lads i've been working up beside Derry airport and was just wondering if there were any marks close by that i could fish easily that are close by........within a 20 min drive or so if the tides were suitable. was thinking about Fahan beach but not sure if the ray would be still about.........
any info would be great many thanks

the ray are usually gone by now,
you could try the wall by the trout fishery, not too far from the airport

yeah, the sea wall around the area, or down at the sea wall at ballykely or roe mouth could be worth a shot, although the bigger number of flounder may now be gone, still worth a shot, normally most sucessful baits are lug and crab.

wont be showing up again till march.
the area's mc and bigphil have mentioned would seem your best bet, if you want to travel a bit more you could try benone/downhill.

alough the rays will be gone now it may still be worth a throw ,dogfish ,dabs will still be there and it may produce the unexpected you just never know.
