I have noticed a few people have fished waterfoot beach as of late. Any advce on which end is best the pier or other end? I am going to head up on Saturday for a short session as the boys are doing another marathon, which I couldn't see far enough for a 3rd week running. lol
Thanks in advance.

Re: Advice on Waterfoot Beach
the beach fishes well at the river end and behind the square house/ play ground end. more flatties at the river side but i had myself a good codling and doggies just behind the house a few weeks back......if theres much more rain fall between now and then stay away from the river side or it will be only the flatties there..... the pier throws up everything but sometimes its difficult getting a spot on it but ya should be ok this time of year.... rag and mack seem to be the best way to go up there...... hope this helps and if i've got anything wrong i'm sure the other lads will fill ya in........
good luck

I fish the beach just behind the big square house there is access to the beach just beside the house ( can be easily missed )there is a small car park only a few yards from where you can fish (very handy).I usually fish the beach at night with an incoming tide usually use rag and mackerel as bait plenty of whiting about this time of year plenty of flounder to usually very close in got a few codling and coalfish to .hope this helps.

Re: Advice on Waterfoot Beach
Thanks guys. Yeah I know what you are saying Minty about the pier- it can be a nightmare with all sorts of people crossing your lines resulting in birds nests in the water...
. Unless you are there in the dead of the night it is always sure to be packed.
Thanks for the advise. I will give it a throw on sat as the tides are good (18.45- high tide).
S**t thats rite about the rocks- I totaly forgot about it- thanks Liam. I will be coming in from Ballymena so will need to go to waterfoot direct and not via carnlough.
